BRAND’S HISTORY AND FOUNDER’S BIO
KNIIT Milano was founded, previously known as TITI Milano, in 2016 by Francesca Carola Ferrari, CEO and creative mind behind the company. A passion that led to fashion design, Francesca, a trained biologist and a mother by choice is a multifaceted, tireless and curious person. ‘I created KNIIT Milano to pass on my love for beauty and my passion for style and fashion. Every day my work consists of constant study, research and staying up to date. I love to be bold when experimenting new possibilities, new proportions and new ideas for femininity and I constantly monitor online and offline evolutions in fashion’
Francesca, assisted by a technical department that is in constant renewal, rigorously selects her suppliers from the best national and international yarn makers. KNIIT Milano’s strategy of excellence makes it a new but noteworthy player on the luxury pret-a-porter market, its Made in Italy production being one of its fundamental starting points as well as a great source of pride.
BRAND’S VISION AND DNA
The maison produces knitwear that is a result of research into yarns of exception; today it carries on a family tradition that began in Milan a century ago with the brilliant Bigi.
In the thirties the Bigi knitwear factory, KNIIT MILANO’s predecessor, was opened in Via Tadino 8 in Milan by Iris Bigi and Predittiva Fontanesi, respectively Francesca Carola Ferrari’s grandmother and great-grandmother. Despite being a small knitwear company, it rapidly made a name for itself on the Milan fashion scene, soon becoming a point of reference for the city’s
society ladies.
Today nothing is left except for the know-how safeguarded by Francesca Carola Ferrari, which she is now expertly passing to her KNIIT MILANO’s creations.
The company’s main mission is to offer quality creating elegant and refined products. KNIIT MILANO’s strategy of excellence makes it a new but noteworthy player on the luxury pret-a-porter market, its Made in Italy production being its core value as well as a great source of pride. Quality is the main focus of the company that, through advanced production
methods and the attentive selection of raw materials, aims to offer elegant and refined products that knowingly combine innovation in design and careful handcrafting.
