Interview mit der Chef-Designerin Danielle Farrell, CHASER Brand

What significant looks are you counting on in the S/S 2023 season?

-For the S/S 2023 season I would say the most significant looks I am counting on would be our retro inspired ‘terry cloth’ styles and our ‘denim inspired washed sweater knits’ that effortlessly pair back to our signature vintage style tees.

What innovations are you planning? Which new ideas are important to you? Possibly with regard to sustainability? Which materials are you increasingly using?

Chaser Brand is known for heavenly soft fabric qualities. So, I have been working on developing fabrications with washes and prints that feel fresh and exciting while still staying true to our roots in loungewear. I have been experimenting a lot with our recycled ribs, jersey, as well as new printed woven rayon and viscose fabric qualities for the Spring 23 collection, which I am really excited about.

Which key pieces in the coming season are important to you?

For Spring 23 I designed the collection around my lifestyle in Venice Beach California. The key pieces that are important to me are the ‘slinky rib” and ‘terry cloth’ styles. We developed these new fabrications, so they are exclusive to Chaser Brand and feel ultra-soft and uniquely special. These styles are important to me because I designed them with the idea to be easily worn from the beach to a night out with your friends.

Where do you get your ideas for you collection from?

-When designing collections, I find I am most inspired when I travel as well as what I want to wear for my everyday lifestyle. I recently just took a trip to Capri Italy about a month ago and designed the Summer 23 collection around the lifestyle, vintage treasures, art, architecture, colors, and textiles I found while exploring the island. I am excited to present this collection as it displays higher end looks with a more comfortable, easy, effortless, everyday take in Chaser Brand style.

Mit welchen wichtigen Looks rechnen Sie in der Saison S/S 2023?

Für die Saison S/S 2023 würde ich sagen, dass die wichtigsten Looks, mit denen ich rechne, unsere retro-inspirierten “Frottee”-Styles und unsere “von Denim inspirierten, gewaschenen Strickpullover” sind, die sich mühelos mit unseren charakteristischen T-Shirts im Vintage-Stil kombinieren lassen.

Welche Innovationen planen Sie? Welche neuen Ideen sind für Sie wichtig? Eventuell im Hinblick auf Nachhaltigkeit? Welche Materialien setzen Sie verstärkt ein?

Chaser Brand ist bekannt für himmlisch weiche Stoffqualitäten. Deshalb habe ich an der Entwicklung von Stoffen mit Waschungen und Prints gearbeitet, die sich frisch und aufregend anfühlen, aber dennoch unseren Wurzeln in der Loungewear treu bleiben. Für die Frühjahrskollektion 23 habe ich viel mit unseren recycelten Rippstoffen, Jersey sowie neuen bedruckten Rayon- und Viskosestoffen experimentiert, worauf ich mich schon sehr freue.

Welche Schlüsselteile der kommenden Saison sind Ihnen wichtig?

Für das Frühjahr 23 habe ich die Kollektion rund um meinen Lebensstil in Venice Beach, Kalifornien, entworfen. Die wichtigsten Teile, die mir wichtig sind, sind die ‘slinky rib’ und ‘terry cloth’ Modelle. Wir haben diese neuen Stoffe entwickelt, damit sie exklusiv für Chaser Brand sind und sich ultraweich und einzigartig anfühlen. Diese Modelle sind mir wichtig, weil ich sie so entworfen habe, dass man sie sowohl am Strand als auch beim Ausgehen mit Freunden tragen kann.

Woher nehmen Sie die Ideen für Ihre Kollektion?

-Wenn ich Kollektionen entwerfe, lasse ich mich am meisten von Reisen inspirieren, aber auch von dem, was ich im Alltag tragen möchte. Ich habe vor einem Monat eine Reise nach Capri in Italien unternommen und die Kollektion Summer 23 auf der Grundlage des Lebensstils, der Vintage-Schätze, der Kunst, der Architektur, der Farben und der Textilien entworfen, die ich bei meinen Erkundungen auf der Insel gefunden habe. Ich freue mich sehr darauf, diese Kollektion zu präsentieren, da sie hochwertige Looks mit einem bequemen, einfachen, mühelosen Alltagsstil der Marke Chaser verbindet.
